view 2: afrormosia, ipe, BOX

view 4: mahogany, poplar, mahogany veneer, maple veneer, mahogany veneer, walnut veneer, all over oak, then paela, silky oak, BOX

view 5: kuruguay, kekele, sapele, oxhorn, ?(yellowish), BOX

view 6: bocote, lati, iroko(?), canary, BOX

view 7: white oak

view 8: chechem, santos mahogany, tulip poplar, sapele, cowtree, BOX

BOX: bottom up; aromatic red cedar thin, maple veneer, mahogany veneer, maple veneer, mahogany veneer, ?(light tan), ?(very dark), lamination of wenge/lacewood/yellowheart. To the very left is a tiny piece of pine(?) and to the right is a small piece of bubinga. Above all that is redheart.

flaws/issues: the kuruguay in view 5 had a small joint separation on the left upper rim and had to be sliced slightly to avoid a sharp edge.

The joint between the paela and the silky oak in view 4 has a stress separation that is both visible and can be felt with the fingernail, thus the low price on this one.

comments: The chechem in view 8 is a real standout. The mahogany in view 3 is hightly chatoyant.
