B178 --- $75.00 --- this is the orientation view --- more pics down below

diameter: 6 1/2"
height: 2 1/4"

finish: one application of natural stain then 4 coats of high gloss spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)

WOODS USED: [SEE DISCUSSION ON THE MAIN PAGE OF THIS SITE IF ANY OF THIS IS UNCLEAR]

base: yellowheart

view 1: macassar ebony over mulberry(? --- might be yellowheart), yellowheart, BOX

view 2: chechem, redheart, African blackwood, BOX

view 4: bocote, cumaru, wenge, BOX

view 5: Honduras rosewood, canary, BOX

view 6: chechem over redheart, redheart, BOX

view 8: tiny oval of yellowheart, purpleheart, curly maple, BOX

BOX: bottom up; canary, bocote, Honduras rosewood

flaws/issues: The glue line between the canary and the bocote in the BOX has a gap that shows on the surface. I can see it in the high-resolution large image of the bowl blank so I know it's not a stress separation, but I DON'T know how I ever allowed it to happen in the first place.

LATER: the colors have become much more subdued since the pics were taken many years ago. In particular, the bocote in the box has darkened substantially as has the canary
