BOX: the dark wood is all wenge, the golden-brown wood is billy webb wood and the lines are all double thicknesses of thick birch veneer

flaws/issues: none

comments: The fir in view 4 is particularly nice, with an unusual swirly grain due to some small branches (the brown spots) coming into the piece. The bocote in view 6 is excellent. The fir in view 4, the yellowheart in view 1, and the osage orange in view 6 are all chatoyant and the outside surface of the canary in view 4 is highly chatoyant.

The wenge in the box was chosen for having a high-grain surface and I think it worked out really well. The panga panga in view 5 turned out marvelously on both the inside and the outside surfaces.
