BOX: "bottom up oriention has the bottom between views 8 and 1. From the bottom up is a tiny wedge of curly maple, redheart, curly maple, middle lamination, ?(grayish brown wood). The middle lamination is on the left, bottom up, machiche(?), chechem, yellowheart and on the right, bottom up; yellowheart, ebony veneer, yellowheart, Honduras rosewood, redheart.

flaws/issues: The bocote in view 2 has a good-sized and quite deep worm hole that shows up at the top of the inner rim (visible in the upper right of view 7c below). This is either wood character or a flaw, take your pick. The redheart in view 6 has darkened noticeably since these pics were taken many years ago and a few of the other woods have darkened slightly.

comments: Gorgeous ovals on the outer rim (see views 5b and 8b below) and the bocote in view 2 is spectacular, as I knew it would be from the way it looked raw (although I did not know that the large wormhole would be there, in hindsight, I would have used the piece anyway and I have not reduced the price of the bowl due to the wormhole)
