B230 --- $95.00

diameter: 7 1/2"
height: 2 1/4"
shipping weight: 1lb 15oz (when asking about shipping costs, please don't forget to give me your zip code)

finish: 8 thin coats of satin-finish spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)

comments: notice the difference between the curly maple at the upper right, which is a flat cut surface, and that at the upper left which is a quartersawn surface with ray flakes.

The spalting of the red oak in the upper right is what I call "muddy" oak spalting, which is unlike the more typical fine black lines that occur in most spalting.

flaws/issues: there is a poor glue joint for about 1/3rd of the way between the redheart and the poplar at the top of the middle section

LATER: the padauk in the lower left has darkened to blood red and the yellowheart pieces in the middle have lost a bit of their brightness, but over all it's still what you see is what you get.

VARIOUS VIEWS:

views 3c and 5c --- note that in view 3c, the orangish wood at the top and slightly to the right appears to have a lot of "chatter" inside the rim. This is purely an artifact of image reduction and does not appear at all in the actual wood.
