flaws/issues: There is a very small chip-out at the bottom of the outer rim where the purpleheart of view 6 overlaps the bocote of view 5.
Extremely minor separation has occurred in some of the joints in the BOX. You can barely see them, and really only if you know to look for them, but they are faintly noticeable to the touch and keep the inside bottom of the bowl from feeling completely smooth. This occurred long after I set the price on the bowl and I do not feel that it is significant enough to change the price.
comments: lots of heavy wood in this one, so it is quite hefty for such a small bowl. There are some real standouts here including the purpleheart in view 6 and the curly mahogany in view 4, and I really like both the shape and the wood pattern in this one so I've priced it relatively high for such a small bowl.
Some of the woods have darkened somewhat with age, most notably the canary in view 1 and the bocote in view 5
