finish: 10 thin coats of satin-finish spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)

comments: particularly nice set of contrasting woods throughout, many with nice grain patterns

flaws/issues: there is a horizontal stress separation in the box that is not particularly visible unless you know to look for it, but it is clearly present to the touch if you run your finger over the middle area. The redheart in the upper left and upper right are slightly more brown than shown here.
