BOX: from the bottom up the middle are dual pices of purpleheart, Douglas fir, shedua, red narra, thick birch veneer, panga panga, silky oak, purpleheart. The vertical piece outside the middle are oxhorn and the yellow pieces outside that are osage orange and the wood above the osage orange is Honduras rosewood.

flaws/issues: Both pieces of red narra in the box are from the same piece of wood and it had lots of gum inclusions, which cause the finished piece to look as though I had done a poor sanding job at the glue joint; I knew this would happen but used it anyway because of the excellent blood-red color and the dark streaking.

The ipe in view 4 has a poor glue joint on the bottom of the bowl, but this is minor. The bottom piece of Honduras rosewood in view 4 has a wormhole

comments: The zircote in view 3 is excellent, as is the ebony in view 7. Many other excellent woods in this one. The osage orange pieces in the BOX are highly chatoyant
