C189 --- $NOT AVAILABLE --- this is the orientation view --- more pics down below

diameter: 7 1/2"
height: 2 1/2"

finish: 10 thin coats of satin-finish spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)

WOODS USED: [SEE DISCUSSION ON THE MAIN PAGE OF THIS SITE IF ANY OF THIS IS UNCLEAR]

base: limba topped by thick birch veneer then thick white oak veneer

views 1 and 5: shedua, granadillo, redheart, BOX

views 2, 4, 6, and 8: shedua, curly maple, BOX

BOX: up and down from the very middle; padauk, ebony veneer, machiche, ebony veneer, silky oak, ebony veneer, redheart. On the sides are 4 pieces of wenge

flaws/issues: There are some circular marks in the middle --- clearly I didn't do as good a job as I should have in the final sanding and didn't notice it until well after the bowl was off the lathe. Very careless, but they are only lightly visible and you can't feel them at all. You can just barely make them out in view 3a below --- they don't even show up in any of the other pics.

comments: This one has relatively few different woods (but all very nice ones) and total symmetry around a line up the midde (and also around a horizontal line through the middle).

All of the shedua pieces around the rim are chatoyant
