C219 --- $SOLD --- this is the orientation view --- more pics down below

Well, NUTS! --- somehow I have pressed something up against the top of the bowl rather hard and created a noticeable dent line, as seen in the pic at the very bottom of this page. Because of this, I have dropped the price from $95 down to $55.

diameter: 7"
height: 2 1/2"

finish: 10 thin coats of satin-finish spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)

WOODS USED: [SEE DISCUSSION ON THE MAIN PAGE OF THIS SITE IF ANY OF THIS IS UNCLEAR]

base: black locust

view 2: Honduras rosewood, canary, BOX

view 3: mulberry, machiche, BOX

view 4: monterillo, timbo, BOX

view 6: Honduras mahogany crotch, curly maple, BOX

view 7: Brazilian ebony, yellowheart, BOX

view 8: sycamore, limba, BOX

BOX: across the bottom is a piece of redheart that is heartwood for the lower 1/4th and pink sapwood for the rest. Above that are pairs of hard maple, wenge, bloodwood, wenge

flaws/issues: The mulberry in view 3 has a crack that is shaped like a wide letter "U" along the lower portion; it is not particularly noticeable visually but it can be felt (barely) with a fingernail.

comments: The Honduras rosewood in view 2 is an unusual and interesting piece. The mulberry in view 3 is nicely chatoyant. Really, all of the woods around the rim are quite nice.

pressure mark flaw (color is not particularly good in this shot) --- as always with such things, I have to the best of my ability gotten a pic of the flaw that shows it looking about as bad as you can make it look, so that there won't be any surprize should you buy the bowl.
