C256 --- $60.00

diameter: 7 1/2"
height: 2 1/2"

finish: 2 coats of dewaxed shellac then 10 thin coats of satin-finish spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)

comments: In general, there are lots of very nice wood in this one. Some standouts are: the zircote in both views 2 and 8 is outstanding, the sycamore in view 5 is really great and the black ebony veneer behind it makes it stand out beautifully, the curly maple in both views 1 and 5 is excellent, and the staghorn sumac in view 6 is a pleasure to look at.

This is a particularly nice bowl to look at but because of the minor flaws, I've priced it much lower than it otherwise would be.

flaws/issues: There is a hairline separation between the padauk at the bottom of the BOX and the curly maple in view 1. You really only see it if you know to look for it, but you can feel it. There is a visible crack in for about 1.5" in the left side of the machiche strip in the BOX. LATER: The osage orange in view 5 is now brown and the purpleheart in view 6 has faded to a weaker purple.
