comments: I left the wall a little thicker than usual on this one, so it has quite a nice heft to it. You definitely don't want to drop this one on your toe.

The alternating grain arrangement of the 4 sections of panga panga in the base create a nice effect and the butt end of the macawood at both sides of view 1 has a nice grain effect --- more interesting that the face grain pattern, I think, although it was a bear to turn since macawood butt end tends to crush and tear unless the lathe chisels are razor sharp

Nice omega curves all around the inside of this one, with the billy webb wood in view 1 having a nice effect of multiple curves due to grain pattern

The tatajuba in view 7 is marvelously chatoyant from side to side (but not at all from top to bottom)

flaws/issues: The okoume "filler wood" at the edges of the center did not entirely turn away on this one and on the left edge of the inside of view 2 there is a small chip-out where the two sections of okoume meet about half-way up the inside of the rim. This is very minor, but is definitely a flaw.

Several of the woods have faded or darkened with time so I have dropped the price from $175 to $110

views 1a, 3a, 5a, 7a. The bright yellow yellowheart in view 1a has darkened noticeably as have the two pieces in view 5a. The mahogany in view 7a has darkened to a chocolate brown.
