base: there is an inner core of yellowheart which shows in views 3 and 7
view 1: moving out from the yellowheart is aromatic red cedar, bubinga veneer, aromatic red cedar, padauk (top and bottom), and then on the bottom, panga panga sided by wedges of padauk
view 5: moving out from the yellowheart is cabreuva, then padauk on the top and on the bottom zebrawood then wenge. On both sides are wedges of Honduras rosewood (sapwood)
center: 4 wedges of Honduras mahogany surrounded by 8 wedges of okoume
view 1: complex lamination in front of birch, thick walnut veneer, aromatic red cedar. To the left of the birch is a small wedge of afrormosia above an even smaller wedge of mahogany. The complex lamination is, left to right across the top, padauk (orange colored, not red), redheart, osage orange, a tiny arc of padauk, osage orange. The bottom pieces are sipo on the left and redheart in the middle
view 3: silky oak, poplar, maple
view 5: across the top is osage orange. In the middle is gaboon ebony over bloodwood both sided by Hondura rosewood and all backed by sapele. On the left and right sides are wedges of canary
view 7: gaboon ebony over purpleheart, both backed by aromatic red cedar, sipo, the all over partridgeswood
flaws/issues: the panga panga in view 7 has a small wormhole.
comments: I particularly like the way the open-topped goblet shape worked out on this one.
