I can see how some people would consider this one a little busy, but to me it is just a standout --- I'm really pleased with how the design turned out and every piece of wood in is is above average for the species and several of them are WAY above average (especially the padauk and canary). Even the wawabima, which is normally not very attractive, shows terrific ray flakes. I will be perfectly content if no one buys this one. I DO like to have a few of these around the house and this one really draws the "oohs" and "aahhh"s
