N64 --- $160.00 --- this is the orientation view --- more pics down below

diameter: 8 3/4"
height: 2 1/2"

finish: one application of natural stain then 3 coats of high gloss spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)

WOODS USED: [SEE DISCUSSION ON THE MAIN PAGE OF THIS SITE IF ANY OF THIS IS UNCLEAR]

base: views 2 and 6 are tulip poplar with green color (backed by aromatic red cedar with sapwood, all of which cedar is covered by the felt) and views 4 and 8 are aromatic red cedar (backed by tulip poplar with green color which is covered by the felt). On top of all that is oxhorn.

view 1: lacewood, redheart (weak color), ? (tan colored wedge), aromatic red cedar, BOX. The part of the aromatic red cedar right next to the box is an almost straight line of sapwood, making it appear that it is another strip of wood but it isn't.

view 2: basswood, madrone, african mahogany

view 3: tzalam (VERY nice piece), aromatic red cedar, cocobolo (very orange color), cypress(?), african mahogany, BOX

view 4: redheart, chechem, bocote, bubinga

view 5: ecualpytus, then on the left red maple, yew and on the right is walnut, green-colored tulip poplar, and canary. Backing all that is oak, walnut, sapele, padauk, BOX

view 6: canary, bloodwood, african mahogany

view 7: paela, yew, lacewood

view 8: cocobolo (with sapwood), yellowheart, bubinga

BOX: maple sided by padauk sided by aromatic red cedar. Above the maple and padak is walnut and above the aromatic red cedar is mahogany then above the walnut and mahogany is more mahogany.

flaws/issues: the lacewood in view 1 has a barely noticible natural crack that you can see in the pics below; view 1b really catches the light on it and emphasizes it but as you can see in view 2a, it's minor.

comments: really attractive curves both in the overall bowl shape and in the individual woods themselves. Heavily undercut rim combined with a relatively small inner flat surface makes for a wide, gentle, slope over the rim thus creating a very nice feel.

The redheart in view 4 has several shades of red in it.
