N91 --- $SOLD --- this is the orientation view --- more pics down below

diameter: 9"
height: 2 1/2"

finish: one application of natural stain then 3 coats of high gloss spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)

WOODS USED: [SEE DISCUSSION ON THE MAIN PAGE OF THIS SITE IF ANY OF THIS IS UNCLEAR]

base: Honduras mahogany

view 1: olive(?), BOX

view 3: aromatic red cedar, curly maple, Honduras mahogany, BOX

view 5: white ash, osage orange, olive, all over redheard and sided by Honduras mahogany

view 7: bocote, Honduras rosewood with sapwood (sapwood has what appears to be blue stain but it only shows up on the bottom), BOX

BOX: bottom up: osage orange, sapodila(?), osage orange, bloodwood, basswood, osage orange, wenge, canary, curly maple, Honduras rosewood with sapwood

flaws/issues: The Honduras rosewood in view 7 has a slight cross-grain tearout in the sapwood on the side next to view 5.

comments: The construction technique on this one is different than most of my bowls in that the vertical section in the center (with all the woods running horizontally in the orientation view) was done up first and then the sides were added to that, allowing room for large chunks (Honduras mahogany in view 3 and Honduras rosewood in view 7) that I think look really good.

The bocote in view 7 is quite nice and the curly maple in view 3 has a particularly strong curl.
