video for bowl N118

N118 --- $90.00

diameter: 9 1/2"
height: 2 1/2"
shipping weight: 2lb 4oz (when asking about shipping costs, please don't forget to give me your zip code)

finish: one coat of natural stain then 5 thin coats of dewaxed shellac topped by 2 coats of clear flat enamel to take the shine off

COMMENTS: The wenge in the upper left is a standout, with the grain showing ovals exactly the way I hoped it would turn out when I selected the piece. The Honduras rosewood right next to it (on the left side) does the same thing. I particularly like the way the middle turned out although I think I would have like it better if I had done a bit more symmetry around the outside, and used fewer types of wood.

I ALWAYS POINT OUT ANYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE COMMENTED ON. THESE ARE (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED) THINGS THAT DO NOT DETRACT FROM THE BEAUTY OF THE BOWL, BUT I WANT TO BE SURE I GIVE A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION. SO ... the right side and lower right of the middle section has developed a minor stress separation. You can see it and feel it but it's not too bad (you can feel it more on the bottom than on the top) but I've priced the bowl a bit lower than I otherwise would have.
