COMMENTS: Absolutely gorgeous. The laminate at the bottom worked particularly well, the middle is bold and beautiful, and the walnut crotch pieces at the top rim are excellent. The maple pieces in the middle show nice ray flakes (and were selected for that reason). This bowl has left-right symmetry throughout.
I ALWAYS POINT OUT ANYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE COMMENTED ON. THESE ARE (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED) THINGS THAT DO NOT DETRACT FROM THE BEAUTY OF THE BOWL, BUT I WANT TO BE SURE I GIVE A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION. SO ... The bowl itself is very well, and very smoothly, finished, but the curve inside the pedestal base was not sanded down as much as it should have been and it is noticeably rough.
