COMMENTS: One of my better efforts, I think. Nice clean lines and contrasting bold colors. I particularly like the omega curves with embedded ovals and have shown a pic at the bottom of this page showing them in closeup. The pinwheel in the middle turned out particularly well, with the maple showing lots of little tiny ray flakes. I think the contrasting colors in the thin-wood laminate worked really nicely.

This is one of those bowls that makes it REALLY clear that the prices I charge don't begin to compare to the effort that goes into the bowl.

I ALWAYS POINT OUT ANYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE COMMENTED ON. THESE ARE (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED) THINGS THAT DO NOT DETRACT FROM THE BEAUTY OF THE BOWL, BUT I WANT TO BE SURE I GIVE A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION. SO ... there is a small void in the piece of bocote at the right of center. This is the kind of thing that happens with wood, it being an organic material, and I don't consider it significant but since you might not agree I want to be sure you are aware of it. You can see it easily in the enlargement of the orientation view
