comments: I don't often turn "solid" bowls because there are many hundreds of craftspeople out there who do that, and many of them do it much better than I do but this piece of sipo had a very pleasing grain pattern so I found a nice complementing piece of mahogany to segment together for the base and I think it came out just fine. I'm particularly pleased with the high chatoyancy.
